Job Role: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Auckland

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you’ll undertake investigations, assessments, designs, reports, site observations, testing and construction observation – and that’s just touching the surface! Collaboration with structural and civil engineers to develop pragmatic design solutions is crucial. If you thrive in the areas of assessment and design, don’t miss this unique opportunity!
Key responsibilities:
- Scope, prepare and conduct geotechnical site investigations and analyses
- Design complex geotechnical engineering solutions (slope stability, settlement, liquefaction assessments)
- Use dedicated software (Slide, Cliq, CPeT, WALLAP etc.) to understand data and model future conditions
- Undertake geotechnical designs for complex scenarios (foundation design, retaining wall design, remedial design works, ground improvement etc.)
- Communicate effectively with clients and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and site observation follow up
- Mentoring of junior staff and review of geotechnical design calculations and reports
- Undertake any other tasks as delegated by a Manager or Director

- Degree in Engineering or Science
- 8+ years experience as a Geotechnical Engineer
- CPEng Certification or in the process of applying
- Valid NZ driver’s licence and NZ residency

Geotechnical Field Technician

As a Geotechnical Field Technician you will play an important role by conducting site investigations and testing to support our Geotechnical team with the development of pragmatic design solutions for our clients. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!
Key Responsibilities:
- Site investigation preparation work including site map preparation and service location
- Site investigation field testing including hand augers, DCPs and soakage testing
- Field nuclear density compaction testing
- Construction Observation testing
- Soil classification and logging
- Documentation and reporting preparation
- Soil sample receipt, handling, processing, storage and disposal
- General clean-up and maintenance of lab and field equipment
- Follow all company systems, procedures, and guidelines
- Always act in a way that reflects the professional image of the company
